Canvas Road

It’s nice to know that there is still organic music in the world. With Melbourne band, Canvas Road what you see is what you get; three friends playing and singing together without added frills. In their own unique brand of folk that fleetingly resembles the style of Belle and Sebastian, Andrew Bird and Grant Lee Buffalo, singer/lyricist Andrew Arnold (guitar), Penelope Kate (cello and double bass) and Monique Zucco (drums) have created music that invokes other times and places, yearns for the past and finds clarity in a single moment of experience. With the sold-out launch of their debut E.P ‘Little Towns’ as well as radio airplay, Canvas Road are now coming into their own. The songs are little novellas, the feel is lush and the overall result is happiness.
