Carley Donia

Visual Art – Pittsburgh

Carley’s artwork is like your favorite pizza shop. You may try other pizzas in your life, but you’ll always return to the sweet flavor of her creativity. Like the pizza you’re picturing in your head right now, she is reliable, dependable, and always gets the job done. Currently, Carley has set up her pizza shop at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where is obtaining a BFA in studio art, a minor in marketing and is also a member of their NCAA women’s soccer team. Being born in the quiet farmlands of Tabernacle New Jersey, but being raised by a bright and loud artistic mother, has molded Carley into the colorful person she is today. Like the toppings on a pizza, her more illustrative elements are flavorful and add uniqueness to her work. On the other hand, the more functional pieces of her art resemble the sauce on your favorite pie; they embody all of the meaning in the work hiding below the cheesy surface. All of these elements come together to create a work of art that can be enjoyed be anyone. So just follow the enticing aroma of you favorite pizza place, and you’ll end up at Carley’s doorstep. Where her art is able to be appreciated by anyone and inspire all who view it.
