Carlos M. Ortiz

I am Carlos Ortiz, an artist based in Kansas City currently attending the Kansas City Art Institute. I am currently double majoring in Printmaking and Art History. Originally from Lima, Peru, I resided in Miami, Fl for about 10 years. While there, I developed my passion for the arts and was lucky enough to earn a scholarship to attend KCAI. Currently a Junior in college, I\'ve had the opportunity to be in shows and exhibitions which have greatly influenced my career. I hope to attend grad school once I graduate and develop more skills to my craft. As a printmaker, I enjoy the flexibility of the medium and I often find my work shifting in terms of material and content. I believe flexibility and experimentation is a very important trait for an artist to have and it\'s been a driving force throughout my work. I hope to continue doing what I love and take part in creating strong artistic commentates for the future.
