As far back as I can remember I\'ve been obsessed with colour. I\'ve always seen things differently, the blue and green hues of the ocean or the crazy colour swatch of of a sunset sky. Some of my earliest memories are being sprawled out at home on the timber floor with nothing but a tin of pencils and sheets of paper; a memory I still happily cling to. Art is one of the few things in life where there are no rules. No rights or wrongs, just endless possibilities to create and recreate. It\'s taken me years to appreciate it, but I\'ve realised that being a self taught artist has allowed me to dig deeper and discover my own style freely and independently. I tend to paint with my mood and the seasons; because the ocean and my natural surroundings are a big part of my life, they often flow into my subject matter and find their way into my artworks. Over the last few years I\'ve been working with Acrylics and Paint Pens; focusing on finer details and encouraging myself to let go and allow my ideas come to life on their own. My artworks are a bold and playful exploration of the world through my eyes. Painting fills me with a great sense of accomplishment and sharing it is the best part.
