Carrie Stout

Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth

As the child of an Army chaplain, Carrie had the opportunity to experience many different places, and see art from all over the world.  There is no doubt that this early exposure to the art world shaped her career as an artist. She went on to get her BA in painting at the University of North Texas; since then her work has been displayed in a variety of venues to include the 500X Gallery, American Airlines Headquarters, DFW Airport, the Bosque Art Classic, and the Texas State Capital. Her current work concentrates on high-altitude views of different towns and cities around the country, cloudscapes. Source images, often come from her husband, a pilot. She is inspired by views from above the clouds because “no matter the place or what is going on below, just a few thousand feet above, beauty is an ever constant reality."
