Cathy Lee = Graffiti-style oil painter + colorist + social entrepreneur + documentarist Since the age of five I have been heavily influenced by comic books, cartoons, graffiti art, and photography. My mother bought my first oil paint set, along with William Alexander video tapes, when I was nine years old. She too is a natural artist, who mentored and trained me to be a skillful artist when I was younger. She taught me the techniques of light and dark, which I still use today. As a Visual Arts B.A. graduate from the University of California, San Diego, I studied film and photography, and immediately fell in love with documentaries. In 2010, I launched my professional art business called, “Cathy Lee Art Design Murals,” where I combine my accumulated skills and talents to create a visual experience on canvas. My future goals are to create public art, collaborate with local non-profit organizations to promote art and culture, and to teach art to children. My cannabis art series combines my two loves: oil painting and cannabis.
