Visual Art – Houston

Celica (Ledesma) Douglas is a Visual Artist from Houston TX who is currently an Undergrad at Texas State University. Her art ranges from Oil Painting and sometimes Digital Works. While trying to master realistic Figurative painting, she puts her subject matters in a space that only exist in her mind. Celica's works are simply a look into her thinking, even when it comes to the color scheme of setting. Her desire for a world where her thoughts and emotions would be understood keeps her determined to create. In High School, Celica Ledesma had two pieces make it to V.A.S.E. Regionals (2014) and she took First Place at the Texas Rodeo Art show (2014). In 2015-17 Celica did not only participate in art shows like "Pancakes and Booze" but had also voluntarily painted a 6ft x 12ft Multi-cultural Mural located at Texas State University, had three paintings win "Best in Show" in the Faces of America Exhibition in San Marcos TX, and had recently been included in the "Estos Son Nuestros Papeles" Exhibition at Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos Museum.
