Chea Keo is a designer with elegance, and a funky and innovative style. Originally from Cambodia but raised in Massachusetts, this designer currently resides in the busy and fast paced city of Los Angeles. Chea is a designer with versatile talent, having been in the fashion and interior design industry for 10 years. Chea got her start by studying fashion design at Marymount University and graduated with the class of 2000. During that time she studied abroad and interned for renowned fashion designer, Zandra Rhodes, in one of the fashion capitals of the world, London. When Chea came back to California, she fell into interior designing at Expo Design Center and by 2004, she had already established her own interior design business, CKeo Designs www.ckeodesigns.com. In 2006, Chea decided to go back to school to pursue her true passion, Fashion Design, so she attended FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, to get back into the fashion world and to receive the training that she had missed. After graduating from FIDM in 2009, she became a freelance designer for several different companies. While she worked for others in order to pay the bills, what Chea really wanted was to start her own design company, a company that made comfortable, sexy clothes for everyday wear, so Chea Keo designer signature, and Cheaky brand Clothing was born , www.cheakybrandclothing.com, www.cheakylingerie.com, www.cheakyswimwear.com ,www.cheakyjeans.com . These designs include Ready to wear women’s, eveningwear, swimwear, lingerie, and men’s wear. Cheaky Brand Clothing is Chea’s first launch into the fashion world and it embodies what fun, playful, and sexy clothes should be. Chea uses her funky and original creativity to create garments with texture, body, and color. The vibrant colors in her designs are what really make Cheaky Brand Clothing unique. Chea first comes up with designs by playing with the texture and examining the movement of the fabric in order to create her distinctive pieces. Some of her favorite fabrics that she likes to work with are knit jersey, spandex, denim, silk charmeuse, silk jersey, and chiffon; all fabrics with a soft hand and great drape-ability. Chea’s inspirations for her designs come mainly from her surroundings, art, nature, and travel. This new designer hopes to establish her name, Chea Keo, as a designer label amongst the likes of her favorite designers Michael Kors, Christian Lacroix, and Carolina Herrera, Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne Westwood to name a few. . Chea Keo will thrive in this competitive industry because of her matchless creativity and passion and hopes that one day it will inspire her son to find and achieve his goals as well.
