Accessories – Orlando

I got the urge one night to learn how to metal stamp, but the only metal I had to practice on was a jar full of pennies. Next thing I knew I had stamped the word "luck" and punched two holes so it would slide onto a string to be worn as a bracelet. Your own lucky penny to wear all the time - and the Cheap Luck penny bracelet was born. I've always wanted to learn how to make jewelry but I never knew what kind. After moving from Miami to Orlando, I found an art school called Creálde where I took a basic intro to metalworking class and immediately fell in love - and now here we are. Cheap Luck Co. was founded June of 2016, but has essentially been around since early 2012. It started off as "Art By Carolina Londono" - a little etsy shop for a broke art student to make some extra cash while in college. I started by doing what I knew and painted album covers on shoes for kids to wear at shows and try to get signed by the band. After graduating with a degree in photography, I felt if I only pursue photo I would feel so incomplete without making physical objects with my hands.
