Visual Art – Houston
Though she has lived in Austin, TX, Tulsa, OK, and currently resides in Houston, TX, Cherisse was raised in Ghana, West Africa, & her art reflects her international upbringing.
After over a decade of working for companies such as Instinet (out of New York), Smith Barney, Williams Oil & Gas, and the Office of the Mayor of Tulsa, Cherisse decided in 2009 to pursue her passion in oil painting. Studying at University of Houston and The Glassell School of Art.
Cherisse studied partnership dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studios and competed both on the Regional & National level. She also performed at various venues including the Hobby Center in Houston,Tx.
Cherisse is now sharing her passion for dance as a professional ballroom dance instructor and is continuing her professional training with DVIDA certification studies.
