Backyard BBQs and booze-ups were the only shows these strapping men concerned themselves with playing at the beginning of 2016. Chiara La Woo originally formed as a three piece with Whyalla boy, Glen Shepherd (bass & vocals) and Riverton born brothers Tom Redden (guitar) and Jack Redden (drums). Following a creative powervomit of songwriting, Waylen Ramsey (lead guitar), hailing from Port Lincoln was added to the mix and the band began to move out of the backyard onto the local stage. Playing alongside local acts such as Zen Panda and NewYear, the Woo boys have gone on to pack out Rocket Bar, supporting World Champion and Flamingo on their respective single launch shows. In a short amount of time, the reggae/rock/rap/funk fusion brought to the Chiara La Woo live show has certainly turned heads.
Having begun their snowballing, style fusing creation of music together only a mere 6 months ago, SA boys Chiara La Woo bring you their debut single – “Keep Your Feet.”
“This song tells a story of one real rough yet charismatic woman of the night with a taste for hard substances who can always bring those of a higher demographic down to her level. As one of our slower songs, it gently soothes your ear holes even though the subject matter might be a bit heckers.” – Glen
Recorded at Capital Sounds Studio in the heart of Adelaide, Keep Your Feet is an introduction to what you may and may not expect from the ramshackle four-piece in the future as they continue to make their name recognised in the local music scene.
