Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

I am a Nigerian American, born in Washington DC. I attend Temple University with majors in architecture and fine arts. My passion for art began when I was a child. I was surrounded by different works of art in my house that were from West Africa, which inspired me to create. I eventually attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts where my passion and skill for art blossomed. I learned how to hone my culture into my artwork. My artwork captures the epitome of blackness in all aspects and cultures, with portraiture. I also use vibrant colors and patterns that are ingrained in Nigerian culture. My passion is to show the beauty of blackness through my artwork.
