Photography – Los Angeles

Chris Davidson is a freelance videographer and photographer based in Los Angeles, Calif. His vast talent is apparent in the variety of projects he pursues both domestically and internationally, from acting as assistant cameraman for feature films to documenting post-civil war conditions in Sierra Leone. A native of Hershey, Pa., a small town sustained by candy and tourism, Davidson was inspired at a young age to discover what adventures were waiting for him outside of Central Pennsylvania. Armed with a small consumer camera, he began shooting short movies at 16 and, the following year, applied to enroll at the Art Institute (AI) of Philadelphia. After transferring to AI Fort Lauderdale, just north of Miami, he found his passion for documenting humanitarian issues like poverty and homelessness. This paved the way for him to further define his career path. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in digital filmmaking, Davidson was a freelance photographer for several local newspapers in Pennsylvania, photographing everything from sports to devastating floods. He eventually relocated to Dallas, Texas to work as a director of photography for a production company. Earlier this year, Davidson moved to LA to pursue his goal of becoming a respected filmmaker and documentary photographer. In just a few short months, he landed gigs as a camera assistant on the set of high-profile music videos, commercials and more. The uniqueness of his work is reflected in his appreciation for simplicity in nature and Impressionist art, as well as his drive to tell untold stories. Instagram: Chris_Davidson_
