Christa Childs Artist My name is Christa Childs, but my creative name is ChristaFreehands and I am in love with the Arts. Art is something I have always been passionate about. For as long as I can remember I have been creative. In high school I took several different art classes using several different mediums and trying many different styles of art. I never really could get enough of it, art runs through my blood. Even though I have always loved creating, my last two years of high school is when I began to truly fall in love with it. There is no medium on this earth I will not try once, at least not one that I know of. Growing up it was three kids in the house along with my parents and my mom always put out arts and crafts for us to occupy our time. Out of all mediums I’ve tried, painting is my favorite. Painting is peaceful and when it comes to art, it feels like you’re making everything out of nothing. Painting murals would be my favorite thing to do though I have only done 3 of them so far. On a regular basis I paint canvases and jackets for myself. I also do commissions for others. My art consists of many bold colors with a mix of cartoons and portraits. Surrealism and contemporary art is where my art work falls into place if I had to categorize it, but I try all forms of creativity and styles that I can. A few goals I have for me and my work is to have my own shop and art gallery featuring other extraordinary artist. Being a traveling painter would be the other goal I have as well. In the very near future my art will allow me to be able to travel doing murals in different cities, states, countries, even continents. I want my gift to allow me to explore this world we live in.
