Christian Usera (CNU)

Visual Art – Denver

I grew up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. I moved around a lot in my youth, including to Providence, New York, Denver and Madrid, Spain. I graduated from NYU in 2004 with a degree in English. I\'ve completed several illustrated books including, \"The Ones\" a post modern creation myth. My work has been featured in Northern Virginia Magazine (2008), Voces Del Caribe (2007 CUNY scholarly journal), I Want You Magazine (2010) and most recently in the Westword (2012). In 2010, my work was the subject of \"Marassa 10\" an event celebrating Caribbean writers and artists. The event was sponsored by Kamau Brathwaite, a world renowned poet and NYU\'s comparative literature department. My work is currently on exhibit at \"Cash from Clutter\" a vintage store dedicating to repurposing items into decorative pieces.
