Chroma Dolls

Visual Art – Philadelphia

Chroma Dolls is a collective duo of talented female artists (Kala Hagopian & Ali Williams) based in Philadelphia, drawn together by the need to create.  They strive to engage the surrounding community in the arts through public painting, mural projects and group exhibitions.  Chroma Dolls have worked with numerous education and community outreach programs. Their background has led them to work with several diverse communities such as The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, The Youth Violence Reduction Partnership, Sobriety Through Out-Patient, JEVS Human Services, The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention, Horizon House, at-risk youth and adults as well as a range of participants of all ages. Chroma Dolls’ mutual objective is to support themselves through the arts and create a pathway for other artists to make a living with their skill set, while bridging the gap between artist and community.  The City of Philadelphia has more murals than any other city in the world (over 3,000).  They are fortunate to have taken part in such a rich cross cultural creative process.  Aside from community and collaborative projects, they have developed their own individual bodies of work.  Their personal interests create a dialogue whose language ranges from multi media installation work to traditional figurative painting. With their talents, Chroma Dolls seek and offer individual commission work, group exhibitions and large scale public art.  **To see more work go to: chromadolls.com
