Coco Cabana Dance specializes in Brazilian Samba performance and dance classes. With hips shaking to Rio beats, a ruffle of feathers and a nod to Vegas, Coco Cabana girls dance with love, energy, and plenty of cheek ;) Coco and her Samba troupe the Coco Cabana Dancers are showgirls with shimmy and shake to boot! You will fall in love with their incredible costumes, adorable antics and jaw-dropping jiggle. The Coco Cabana girls are available performance, roving, hostessing and classes for events, corporate entertainment, weddings and hens parties. Coco Cabana Dance runs ongoing classes for all levels and dance abilities, with an emphasis on technique, fitness, and frivolity. Principle instructors Coco Poppin and Conor Rawlins teach ladies’ classes every Tuesday evening in Maylands! Private lessons and group bookings for both women and men are available. Coco Cabana Dance is directed by Coco Poppin. a Perth-based Samba queen, Burlesque beauty and Go-Go goddess. Coco has been teaching and performing Brazilian Samba professionally since 2009. With a professional background in a range of dances from Brazilian Samba to 1960s Go-Go, burlesque and Argentine tango, Coco loves teaching large groups of discerning, disorderly and facetious women! She was Principle Brazilian Samba instructor at JRDA from 2010 to 2012, and since that time has been teaching independently, alongside dance partner Conor Rawlins. Coco has performed, taught and trained interstate and internationally, and her samba troupes have performed at festivals, on stage and on screen.
