Coocoo Collage Chick

I moved to DC from London many years ago :) I love this city,it inspires me to create art that reflects different cultures,politics,fashion,good food. A Collagist,Photographer,Collector of Vintage,Watercolor,Block Print and Decoupage Artist.I attribute my work to childhood memories of where I grew up and places I have visited. Washington DC is my home and canvas Taking imagery from the everyday rituals-9-5,urbanlife,colors,cultures, politics,sex & money and transforming it into a silent unfiltered RAW expression.Collaging is my favorite and allows me to experiment with different mediums. I am conscious of the environment and incorporate as much organic/green materials as possible. Elephant dung paper is my canvas-100% recycled,clean and cuts down burning and cutting trees. I also use fabric,handmade paper,my photos,cut out magazines,vintage labels,dried leaves and whatever crosses my path inspiring creativity. My love for collage stems for my great admiration and respect for my Teacher Romare Bearden and different Artists, Cubist from the Dada Revolution. My work is displayed on Music Albums,hanging at the United Postal Headquarters,Gay Pride parades,Schools,Dentist office,Hair Salons,Personal Birthday Chronicle. I am always learning,creating and sharing. Thanks to RAW I now have an opportunity to share my art and represent DC.There is a new Dada Revolution,it is Coocoo Evolution :) Be the change you wish to see-Ghandi
