Performing Art – Memphis

Corinne Baldwin was put into dance class at the age of 3 in order to keep her energetic toddler-self busy and active. Little did she know that dance would grow into her biggest passion. Corinne danced at Innovative Dance Academy in New Jersey from ages 3 to 7 until her family packed up and moved to Nashville in 2005. From age 7 to 17, Corinne trained with Hermitage Dance Academy, later joining the competition team at age 8. At HDA, she trained under Andrea Woodward, Kayla Rowser, Chaz Pirtle, Travis Cooper, Getfone Vonkhamchanh, Tiffany Freeman, Dorinda Walker, Missa Pruitt and Keith Fitzpatrick in jazz, lyrical, hiphop, contemporary, tap, ballet, and tumbling. After graduating high school, Corinne trained with the dance team at the University of Memphis under the coaching of Carol Lloyd. In spring 2017, Corinne signed with FreshTalent Group. Her credits include dancing for Nashville artist Phenix Red's tour at various Nashville and Atlanta locations, as well as performing in Brea Sands's "IGY X IWBD" music video. Corinne was also the lead female dancer in Kadmon Love's "Focus/Premonition" music video. In 2018, Corinne auditioned for and became selected as a Grizz Girl dancer for the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, and is excited to start her second season dancing and engaging in community events with the team. Corinne also has taught dance classes and private lessons in jazz technique, tumbling, and strength and control, while also assisting choreographers from across the nation. Aside from her dance career, Corinne is currently pursuing her bachelor's degrees in Creative Mass Media and Advertising at the University of Memphis, expecting to graduate in May 2020. She plans to continue firing her passion for dance for as long as possible because it is what truly makes her the happiest.
