Courtney Athena is originally from the small town of Terre Haute,Indiana. Courtney was artistically trained by her grandmother,a watercolor artist, from an early age.She gives all credit to her grandmother for her love of crafting wacky pieced together works of art. Courtney\'s grandmother would break apart her old jewelry and jumble it back together to make wild hair clips and bows. In 2002 she moved to Atlanta not knowing a single person and has made it her home.Courtney Athena loves the cultural mix of people in Atlanta.She says, \"It\'s a big city with a small town feel.\" In 2008 she launched her line of one of one pieces in a small boutique in the Castleberry Hills area of Atlanta.Courtney Athena\'s line was all started because she simply loves art and reinventing items she grows tired of. Courtney\'s jewelry has also been featured in the videos of Atlanta recording artists \"T.I\",\"The Dream\", and \"B.O.B\".
