Creatively Cannon

Accessories – San Antonio

I am a single mom of boy/girl twins born in 2016. After their birth we moved back to my hometown to be closer to family. With the cost of daycare being so high I found it very difficult to find a new job that paid enough for me to cover 2 daycare bills and be able to support us. After a lot of thought and research, I decided to start my own business during nap time doing something I love - making things. I have always been a do it yourself kind of person. From simple crafts to painting to building things I’ve dipped my toes in a little of everything over the years. With Creatively Cannon I decided to focus on jewelry and accessory design and eventually some home decor. Being a Texas girl, I feel like a lot of my work reflects my southern roots. My style could also be classified as boho/hippie or southwestern. I try not to limit myself to a particular style as I feel my style is my own. I make things I think are beautiful and beauty is subjective. I started with a lot of bead work and then moved into resin jewelry. From there I learned about polymer clay and the amazing things you can create with it. Recently, I have been stuck on working with leather. I absolutely love it and am trying to learn as much about it as possible. I think it hits close to home for me because my late grandfather tooled leather. I got my hands on his old tools and am really excited to breathe new life into them. Jewelry and accessories just have so many mediums to work with. Anything you see beauty in can become an accessory. Learning new techniques and dreaming up new creations are what Creatively Cannon is all about.
