Visual Art – San Francisco

I was inspired to make dioramas when I was very little, and my mother, while studying to become a teacher, made a diorama of her dream school for a class project, which my evil cat peed all over. I clung to the pee soaked diorama afterwards, and studied it closely. I later studied film at UC Berkeley, and grew tired of negotiating with actors, so began to make my own actors out of dead things. I have worked freelance in films from projects with Nintendo to working as an associate producer on an educational series, and a whole lot more. I studied set design in an MFA program for two years which only made me more interested in making my own artwork. I also work full time with severely mentally ill people in social services for the past 11 years, and it helps inform my art to be surrounded by madness.
