My name is Cristina Gutierrez, I am a nursing student with a creative background. When I am not hitting the books, I am at work creating. My hobbies of choice are freelance photography, salsa dancing, and makeup specializing in daily looks and special effects. I started dabbling into photography in 2010 by shooting children and scenery. As my love for the camera grew my creativity began to expand as well. I now take on parties, entertainment industry portfolios, head shots, children, and family portraits. My style of photography is reflected by my heritage. I am Latin American, my parents are from Spain and El Salvador but I have lived all my life in the best city ever, New ORLEANS! New Orleans is known for being the melting pot of the United States and my work is an ultimate mixture of traditional photography and a vivid representation of what I see behind the lens. My goal in life is to first provide for my son and to show everyone that a medical professional can still have an artistic side. I believe exploring creativity is a healing tool for people because it serves as an outlet and its a huge form of self expression. Plus I truly enjoy capturing moments and making them tangible because we live life daily with memories stored in our hearts and the best feeling to me is to have a picture that portrays the exact feeling and facial expressions of a time you want to relive!
