Visual Art – Pomona

I am a local girl born and raised in Upland, CA. Ever since I was little, art has always been a huge part of my life in some form. My Mom always had my sister & I creating something out of nothing. From painting pottery to jewelry making, she always kept her girls busy with some type of art project. Music has also played a huge influence in my life. My Father plays guitar and I inherited his ear. I think I was singing before I could talk! I have always found such a sense of contentment in losing myself in a song. As the years went on I found myself gravitating towards jewelry making. That combined with my love of treasure hunting at the local antique stores and flea markets seemed to open up the floodgates. Now I’ve found myself creating Mixed Media wire sculptures and assemblages giving new life to treasures from the past. I find my best ideas happen super late at night or first thing in the morning fresh out of a dream. I love looking at something mundane and seeing its potential to become something extraordinary. My Art and Jewelry is currently on display at the Expo Gallery in Long Beach, CA and in Whimzy in Tustin, CA. I participate in several local shows most recently Glitterfest and the Pasadena Bead and Design Show. My jewelry has been published in Belle Armoire Jewelry in Spring 2011 and Jewelry Affaire Fall 2011.
