Crystal Perez was only four years old, when she created her first drawings using the inside of her schoolbooks’ covers as her canvas. She soon realized art was her passion.
In 2008 she attended San Diego State University and graduated with a bachelors in Art. Crystal has commissioned several oil paintings and digital illustrations for family, friends and her followers on Instagram.
Crystal Perez is a Fine Artist and Illustrator whom specializes in portraiture of whimsical ladies in peaceful environments and graceful poses. She enjoys working with a variety of media, such as, oil paint, acrylics, gouache and graphite. However, Crystal’s current focus is drawing digitally.
Her ladies are inspired by her fascination with the feminine human figure and other characteristics she associates with femininity, such as, beauty, women’s fashion, pretty colors and nature.
Moreover, Crystal tends to incorporate her interest in home decor, abstract design, pattern and desserts to her illustrations; You’ll usually see her ladies accompanied by one of the above.
Crystal’s illustrations will range from simple, minimalistic, line drawings to ladies surrounded by color and details. Nonetheless, they’ll almost always share one thing in common: A positive or empowering Title.
Furthermore, Crystal creates art simply for the sake of cherishing beauty and for the joy it brings her in the process. She shares her artwork with the world in hopes to “ provide an oasis of beauty, peace and acceptance,” as Pope Francis said.
Crystal’s illustrations are sold as Fine Art Prints, which, she creates and now prints, packages and ships from her home art studio in San Diego, Ca.
