Nomadic Artist

Nomadic Artist was born out of the idea that the dance/performing arts world could use more camaraderie and lifting up versus the competition and cattiness that is all too familiar (and quite frankly needs to go). It's time for dancers and divas alike to come together and realize we are all in it for the same reason and there is enough of the pie to go around. If we come together, then there's no place to go but up. The purpose of Nomadic Artist is to provide a professional dance organization to the adult dancers and choreographers of Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. Nomadic will provide a platform for the current and future members to have their choreographic and/or dance talents appreciated, cultivated and exposed through showcase performances. We have been successfully admitted and showcased in 5 choreographer’s showcases throughout DC and Virginia since our inception a year and a half ago. When funding is sufficient, we plan to expand into producing our own performance and showcase opportunities for Nomadic Artist and other professional dance groups of the surrounding areas. Furthermore, we plan to offer low cost to free performing arts classes to qualified low-income children and their families. The ultimate goal is to create a successful professional dance company that uses its adult members to cultivate children who are less fortunate in our area, providing an opportunity to discover their untapped passion for dance and the arts.
