Visual Art – Indianapolis

I am an artist of color and communication who likes to make people smile. I hold a bachelor\'s degree in theatre and a master\'s degree in education. While at Butler University, learning stage design and acting, I assisted our costume designer, Dan Pugh, for two years. After teaching high school English and directing plays for twenty-eight years, I became a doll maker. I love working with fabric, mixing patterns & colors, designing outfits for my dolls and styling their hair. I live in Greenwood,IN with my husband and our two children. Our dog, Daisy, is very intelligent and helpful. Part shar pei, part boxer, we found her in a shelter during April when the daisies were beginning to bloom. I love to travel, especially near the ocean. The best vacation I ever took was two weeks in Great Britain. There I fell in love with Ireland. The emerald isle calls to me from her abbies and cliffs, her folklore and pubs. I love anything Irish. I love reading about the Kennedys, whose ancestors came from Ireland. I love beautiful things, believe their is beauty in everyone and that there is more good than bad in the world. I believe we are put on earth to help others. Art can do that. I create beautiful, unique dolls to be enjoyed by others. Each doll has a name. I hope they find a place in someone\'s home where they can create smiles in the eyes of their observers.
