Photography – Seattle

I started shooting photos in high school when I begged and pleaded my way into the photography courses. They had a vocational training program that made the majority of my classes focused on photography. I spent all my time shooting skateboarding and the people around me. That culminated with my first assigned job shooting glass blowing artists for Dale Chihuly in Vianne, France with a stack of other high school age shooters. After that, I was lucky to find work shooting photos for the military as a civilian. This sent me on a whirlwind of trips to the other side of the world. After a few years of this, I ended up back in Seattle shooting for Boeing. The problem was, I was photographing things that never inspired me. A focus on high speed video and 360 virtual tours never quenched a thirst I had to shoot inspiring things. Enter the second stage of my career when I left that job and started working as a firefighter full time. This job allowed me, for the first time , to shoot what I wanted, when I wanted! So the last couple of years has been a mix of shooting natures finest and the career that has taken over everything else!
