Visual Art – Honolulu

Born and raised in West-Berlin, Germany before the wall fell, I always had a longing to travel, experience new things. When the wall finally came down, I was in my mid- to late teens and all of the sudden, the world seemed open, in fact limitless. I moved to America in 1998 to be with my husband, and in 2001, we moved to Hawaii together. Living in Hawaii is an inspiring experience, both artistically and spiritually. Art and drawing was always present in my life, starting with pencil doodles as a toddler and continuing throughout my life as a constant theme of expression. But Hawaii has opened my eyes to the joys of inspired art. Currently, I am working on pen & ink art about our relation to nature, our place in it and our emotional & philosophical ties to our surroundings.
