Photography – Atlanta

With a distinguished career in the fashion as well as editorial industry and spanning 25 years experience in art and photography, Sterling Lane embarks on a completely new type of imagery both in subject matter and technique. Lane was born and raised in Atlanta, and at a very young age showed great potential for becoming an artist. He first picked up a camera at the age of six. His father offered much encouragement by giving him his old Yashica, a Twin Lens Reflex camera... that was all it took to turn a spark into a flame. With no formal training, Lane taught himself the art of photography. Years of perseverance have brought him to present day where he has developed an individual style and a unique photographic process he can call his own. Upon graduation from high school, already an established working photographer, Lane entered the Art Institute of Atlanta, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications. As an “underground” artist he has become known for creating “iconic” images that captivate and mesmerize with incredible detail and rich beauty. In 2012 he launched a production company, “Deviate Films.” In its first year, he created a web-based television show called “The Concentrics Show,” Season One, of which, appeared on Xfinity Atlanta, a local broadcast company. Lane is excited about the new horizons which lie before him, the possibilities, challenges, and experiences... the very things that drive his passion for the art of photography. Over the years he has appeared in various museums and numerous art shows and gallery exhibits winning "Best in Show" in many of them.
