Diana Miller

Visual Art – Brisbane

Originally from South Africa, Diana Miller is an abstract artist living in the Brisbane area. She began painting in her adult life again when falling pregnant with her fist daughter. A graphic designer by trade, Diana has now made the switch to painting full time which satisfies her highly creative and soulful nature. To Diana, art makes life more beautiful and echoes emotion through paint. Extremely passionate about her craft, her style could be described as abstract expressionist and she utilises colour and emotion as the basis for her creations. Diana paints because it brings purpose and immense joy to her life. She works gesturally in acrylics with handfuls of brushes in a completely spontaneous manner, allowing her intuition to take the paint to its final resting spot. Diana\'s area of genius is turning the invisible into the tangible by creating imagery from emotion. She believes her purpose is to bring beauty and harmony into peoples’ lives through her work and to create soul-stirring art that connects to others on an emotional level. Diana held her first solo exhibition at the Percolator Gallery in Paddington in 2014 and will hold another one there again in 2015. She works from her studio in Yeerongpilly. Diana appeared on Grand Designs Australia in 2014 with her Australian husband building their 3 level shipping container house in Graceville, Brisbane. The show sparked interest in Diana\'s work and has been a catalyst for increased sales of her work.
