Music – Ventura
Dirty Rice\'s journey began in March of 2010 in South Oxnard, CA with the intention of only playing one gig for the birthday\'s of two of the band mates (Mataio and Mau Valoaga). Since then, DR has been blessed to continue due to the positive responses from family, friends and a building fan base.
Over the past year, Dirty Rice has had the honor and opportunity to play with headline acts such as Rey Fresco, JBoog, Iration, and reggae legends Pato Banton and Don Carlos and have played for audiences of intimate crowds to sold out shows at Ventura Theater with more over 1500 attendees.
Dirty Rice consists of: Henry Otineru (guitar/vocals), Shirley Moore (vocals), Nasau Galeia (guitar/vocals), Mau Valoaga (guitar), Charleen Morla (keyboards), Mataio Valoaga (bass), Pika Maiva (drums).
