Fashion – Seattle

I grew up with a passion for menswear, often suppressed by the lack of slim-fitting cuts in the U.S. My world changed when my job in IT took me to Japan and South Korea - where I discovered the thoughtful, authentic (and extremely well-fitted) menswear designs by the artisans of Tokyo and Seoul. After several pilgrimages back to the region to tailor clothes for myself and an expanding group of friends, I decided to combine my passions for menswear and business (Michigan MBA 2004). In 2012, at Seoul Fashion Week, I met designer Don Kim. We instantly hit it off and seemed to perfectly understand each others\' visions. Somewhat ironically, serves the Korean market with vintage European and American styles, featuring classic (looser) fits, while I work to apply Asian design (slimmer, sleeker cuts) to European and American classics. The combination of our visions culminated in Doberman in 2012.
