Born in 1970 in Avenal, CA, Donald Ray is an emerging “Artographer” that blends art with photography. He uses concrete and abstract ideas, thoughts and feelings to convey something that he feels, that the lens just can’t capture alone. Donald Ray began his education at an early age, with an emphasis on drawing, sculpture, painting, and photography. Being in a military family, Donald Ray was stationed in Germany during his secondary education. While living in Europe, his education and inspiration refined his visual and conceptual vocabulary. Donald Ray emerged with a focus on points of intersection between art and photography.
