A Home For Tandy (Deborah O\'Toole)

Accessories – Melbourne

I\'m Deborah O\'Toole, a proud Melbournian and long-time dabbler in all things textiles. After a long career in performing arts and having recently graduated RMIT with a Dip Arts-Studio Textiles and Design, I have turned my creative energies to the visual arts, focusing on textiles (of course!) Over the last couple of years I have been exploring eco-dyeing; a technique of applying colour or pattern to fabric using leaves, flowers and other organic matter collected from my garden and local area. The process requires no chemicals, is environmentally sustainable, the results are always surprising, and I am totally addicted! \"A Home For Tandy\" is my venture into textile home-wares and accessories where each product is lovingly hand-made using the eco-dyeing process on luxurious natural materials. My aim for the label is to create gorgeous covetable items which will be loved and treasured for generations.
