Fashion – San Francisco

Andrea is a San Francisco based fashion designer. She is currently working on her MFA in Fashion Design at Academy of Art University. She also maintains an underground fashion label, Drea Faye, that produces statement fashion pieces on trend for the bay area culture and party scene. She holds her work to the high standards of technical skill and boundary pushing artistic concepts. Her greatest style influences include travel, music, events, museums, lifestyle, and magazines. Her designs convey a message of sophistication through persistence, reflecting the inspiration she takes in the resilience of others. Andrea's design studio is located at Aspect Framing Studio and Art Gallery, a custom framing business that she co-owns with her boyfriend and skilled master framer, Matthew Zimmerman. At Aspect she curates local artist exhibitions each month in conjunction with the Lower Polk Art Walk. Although fashion is her main thing, Andrea has many interests: she is an accomplished dancer and choreographer and she also holds a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She finds that her prior experience with science, technology, and dance are what make her fashion designs that much more expressive and technically meticulous.
