Connecting color to canvas, Durty is an urban artist from Pittsburgh, PA. The inspiration and creative direction of the Durty Arts comes from an obvious and deep connection to urban culture and music. Artists such as Aesop Rock, Eyedea, KRS ONE, Biggie, Tupac, Atmosphere, Beastie Boys, b.Dolan, stimulated this Durty mind and gave inspiration and guidance like his own personal Mr. Miyagi. In the short time of displaying his art publicly several pieces have been presented to the following artists; KRS ONE, hip hop iconic figure Paradise Gray, Jasiri X, Mr. Dibbs, Real Deal, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Brother Ali, DJ Abilities, Talib Kweli, Jeremy Fish, Murs and graffiti legend Adam Cost. Durty\'s art has received acclaim recognition from: Public Enemy\'s front man Chuck D, graffiti artist Cope2 and Atmosphere. Aside from painting comissions and other art, Durty has done professional work for b. Dolan\'s Fallen House Sunken City remix cover, a limited series of skate decks for CrushKill Recordings honoring the late Micheal “Eyedea” Larsen, and a limited of 50 prints. He has also collaborated with a clothing line in New York called FromNY, and is currently working with (Minnesota based emcee) Carnage the Executioner on a future project for the artist. There was a feature in WHIRL magazine and PGH Collective on the art that he creates, Locally, you can find Durty\'s work hanging in local shops like, New Amsterdam, Delanies Cafe, Tonic, and other pop up places.
