Visual Art – Los Angeles
I was born in Russia, but have lived in Los Angeles for four years. I came here, as many others to be an actress. After a couple of years, with horror I realized that it wasn't making me happy anymore. I was 21, I always had a plan, a dream, but it all came crashing down before me, and all I had was a blank canvas and a couple of brushes. I've been painting all my life, but before it was more of a hobby than a need. Now, the feelings of fear, of the unknown overflowed me, and I hungrily started to mix bright colors, turning this blank canvas into a surreal collage of my reality. Panting is my way of communicating with the world. Not through words but through showing a quick snapshot of my mind. All my art, I paint with Acrylics. It gives me the freedom to draw in the moment, and finish my painting in the same state of mind as when I started it.
