Latisha Leppert (Elegance and Inspiration)

Visual Art – Louisville

I've been creating jewelry for about 10 years. It started with stringing beads together, but I fell in love with wire as my preferred medium. Wire weaving is my favorite way to create, but I've branched out in the last couple of years with using some basic metal smithing in my creative process. Each piece is an adventure to go on. In the last couple of years my work has taken on more meaning. After the unexpected death of my sister, I've begun to create with the intention of wanting to remind women (who I primarily create for) of their inner strength and value. My hope is to inspire them to live their lives fully, go after their dreams, and become the best versions of themselves. It's a journey I'm walking out daily and try to showcase in each piece I create.
