El Leon & The Strangers

This young band has taken by surprise the Winnipeg rock alternative music scene with a festive, sensitive and highly energetic sound. From the freezing cold El Leon & the Strangers breaks with the classic local moulds, with eloquent musical remembrances from various corners of Latin America, including Argentinian ska, new Chilean cumbia, reggae and Mexican boleros. This fusion originated from the versatility of its members, originally from Latin America and Europe, and recreates in each show a rarely seen frantic, fun, party-like atmosphere the audience always embrace.
