Photography – Ventura

While the need to make sense of everything is paramount to my day-to-day life, I try to release this tendency in my work. I do not prioritize any single photograph above another. Any given image is the physical manifestation of one step in a process with no expected completion date. I am a man that makes a path. The journey down that path has already taken me on a roller coaster ride. And it is just beginning. Much of the work comes from the lessons learned and experiences I have had on this journey. They focus on an idea or message I want to express. It can be pain, anger, vulnerability, or many other things across the spectrum of emotion. I am not sure where the road will end or travel next. What I do know is this work will be a part of me forever. Time must be made for the things we deem important. If you don’t have time, it isn’t really important. The work is never done. While a particular piece may be printed, matted and framed, it’s not complete. You finish it.
