Currently residing in Austin, TX after graduating from School of Visual Art in New York. Abstract portraits are my main focus. Using oil paint, the process and color is of more importance than creating an accurate portrayal of the subject at hand. It enables the viewer to become connected through the essence of the person/piece rather than the details that we typical focus on about each other. I also make small collage pieces using imagery from childrens books and pornographic magazines. At times acrylic and ink are added into the process. The final piece creates a perspective on the loss of innocence and how ideas we have as children on life, love, and death are skewed.
