Emily Leonard

I am I digital artist hailing from North London. I work with photography and digital maniplation to create often very intense and dark large scale pieces. My work is an expression of time and space, of age and decay and of history. I use my camera to capture an initial image, then manipulate the image in an attempt to highlight and intensify the emotion connected with that particular environment. Shapes and lines become an important aesthetic. The process forces objects to begin to resonate within the frame and become very abstract. Patterns in everyday objects become apparent forcing the viewer to look harder at a surface so loaded with detail.
