Emily Salerno was born and raised a Georgia girl and has been dancing ever since the young age of 3. Emily has been classically trained in almost every style-jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary. Hailing from Rhythm Dance Center in Marietta, GA, she has trained with some of the top names in the industry- Katie Carroll, Dee Caspary, Dennis Caspary, Joey Dowling, Justin Giles, Nick Lazzarini, Sakinah LeStage, Kevin Maher, Mike Minery, Mandy Moore, Bobby Newberry, Anthony Russo, Jaci Royal, and Barry Youngblood. In addition to teaching at DanceFX and Rhythm Dance Center, she works as the first ever assistant for Anthony Russo’s traveling tap convention Tap the Map. She also assists Mike Minery\'s summer tap intensive Slide. After attending numerous conventions such as JUMP, New York City Dance Alliance, Nuvo, the Pulse, and many, many more, she was inspired to begin choreographing and teaching is her absolute passion. She helped to choreograph the Dancefx Concert Dance Company “Alice: Lessons in Wonderland” show. She is also the founder and director of DanceFX\'s first ever competition team, Xcel. She currently attends the University of Georgia as a Communication Studies major.
