Emily Akers

I’m a licensed cosmetologist and certified makeup artist. I graduated from The Temple: A Paul Mitchell Partner School in 2012 as well as The Academy of Makeup in 2017. Hailing from the Baltimore area, I am a freelance makeup artist who can travel as needed to onsite locations as well as host hair appointments in the beautiful salon that I work in in Columbia. I love to be versatile. I’m not afraid to get creative and bring a little funky to your photo shoots, videos, runway looks, etc, but can also take direction and tone down for bridal or special occasion makeup. I have always worked in the beauty industry and absolutely LOVE my career. Making people smile and feel / look even more beautiful/ handsome than they already are is what makes it all that much more amazing.
