Eric Francis

Visual Art – Indianapolis

In the winter of 2010, Eric Francis, a Veteran of the Persian Gulf and Iraq wars, saw an advertisement for a used wood lathe. Having never used one, or really even seen one up close, he decided to take a look, and bought the lathe for $35. It sat in a corner of the garage for months before he decided to give it a try. Once he figured out where the ON button was, he was hooked. Turning is Eric\'s favorite outlet for artistic expression. Always learning something new, Eric now produces fine bowls, urns, vases and other vessels that are both useful and beautiful.
