ABOUT

eshcetera is the brainchild of Los Angeles-based artist and educator E. Salvador Hernandez. Queer-centered observations, narratives and musings create the distinct eshcetera collection. Utilizing various art-making processes, the growing body of work ranges from printmaking, hand-crafted objects, sculpture, installation and performative works. The selections from the eshcetera collection (above) include explorations of sensuality, gender presentation and sexuality. E. Salvador Hernandez is a dual arts graduate from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Bachelor's of Art in Art Education.

INSPIRATIONS

SUBJECTS: Queer Theory, evolving/devolving ideas of masculinity, gender non-conformity, comics/zines, horror films, Color Theory. ARTISTS: The Gran Fury collective, Leon Golub, Nan Goldin, Roy Lichtenstein, Félix González-Torres, Louise Bourgeois.
