Photography – Calgary

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada almost every day has been spent outside among the pristine wilderness in the Rocky Mountain plateau. Traversing the many parks and wild life reserves waiting for exactly the right moment is one of my favourite pass times I hope to pass onto my son as he grows older. Technology has become a prosthesis for me to communicate with the external world, illustrating my mind through light, and its absence. My goal is to encapsulate the viewer, and draw their attention into the depths of symbology in my art, in the style of my forefathers and their forefathers. The majority of my art is abstract lighting exposures, composite CGI, or decoupage and repetition. I've always preferred to photograph nature, or the man made architecture that resembles nature, or to composite images to embody an entire teaching with a single motif. Growing up I was fascinated with how words can create seemingly separate internal worlds, and I strive to bring my inner world, outward, by first going inward and returning with something to show for my efforts.
