Falling Leaf Arts

Falling Leaf Arts is a one-woman custom tailoring and jewelry design studio based out of St. Louis, MO. I specialize in making the old feel new again, from upcycling vintage pieces into new, modern jewelry, or giving my own take on the neo-Victorian/Steampunk. I work almost exclusively in wire + stuff, no adhesives or soldering. I feel this keeps my work physically and aesthetically lighter, and inspires creative solutions to the intersection of physicality and vision. I love nature and architecture, and the space where the two meet, both in harmony and juxtaposition. My training is as a textile historian, and the emphasis on reuse and repurposing older materials to fit a new fashion comes out of examining historical clothing and seeing that mode in action.
