Visual Art – San Jose

Suzanne Morelli was born in Santa Cruz, California in 1964. Living in a big enough family along with her three rascally sisters, Suzanne managed to carve out her own space to color, draw and paint throughout her childhood. She often drew portraits of her pets, her friends, family and nature, as well as doodling all over her school binders and books. \"Expressing myself in an artistic way was and is like connecting through a channel from heaven. It\'s truly been a gift to me from God\". As childhood quickly passed, Suzanne never lost the need to express herself in one form or another. She spent her free time taking Piano and singing lessons, writing and art classes at Cabrillo College, and through private teachers. Suzanne was also a backup singer for the local Robert Berry Band, in the 90\'s. During her marriage, (hence the name Ajir) and when her daughter was young, Suzanne found a love for photography begin to blossom, and continues this hobby today. In recent days, Suzanne has found a way to \"channel the heavens\" through mixed media and collage art. With a new love for color, along with her love of God and nature, she finds that these are the defining themes central to each piece she creates.
